Updated · Tested by DailyStash editors

    Cancel on iPhone (iOS)

    1. Open Settings on your iPhone.
    2. Tap your name (Apple ID) at the top.
    3. Tap Subscriptions.
    4. Find ShortMax in the list and tap it.
    5. Tap Cancel Subscription.
    6. Confirm — you'll keep access until the current billing period ends.

    Cancel on Android

    1. Open the Google Play Store app.
    2. Tap your profile icon (top-right).
    3. Tap Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
    4. Tap ShortMax in the list.
    5. Tap Cancel subscription.
    6. Choose a reason if prompted, then confirm.

Cancel on the web / desktop

    1. Go to shortmax.com and log in with the same email/Google/Apple ID you subscribed with.
    2. Click Account → Subscription.
    3. Click Cancel Subscription.
    4. Confirm the cancellation. Access continues until the paid period ends.

    What happens after I cancel?

You keep VIP access until the end of the current billing period. After that, the app reverts to the free-preview + coin model. Any purchased coins remain on your account and don't expire on cancellation.

Will I lose my unused coins?

No. Purchased coins persist on your account and are usable to unlock episodes even after your subscription lapses. Free/promotional coins earned during trials may expire on their own [VERIFY] timeline regardless of subscription status.

    Can I get a refund?

ShortMax's own policy [VERIFY] treats subscriptions as non-refundable. However, Apple, Google, and Stripe will often refund an accidental or unwanted charge on request. Use the App Store's Report a Problem flow, Google Play's Refund request form, or contact your bank — all typically within 90 days of the charge.

    ShortMax FAQ

Why can't I cancel ShortMax inside the app?

Subscription lifecycle for iOS and Android apps is handled by Apple and Google — not by ShortMax. This is standard across every subscription app on both stores. Web subscribers cancel on shortmax.com.

How do I know which platform I subscribed through?

Check the receipt email. Subject lines from Apple start with "Your receipt from Apple"; Google's start with "Your Google Play Order Receipt"; Stripe/ShortMax web receipts come from noreply@shortmax.com.

    Does cancelling delete my account?

No — cancelling stops billing but leaves your account, watch history, and remaining coins intact. To delete the account itself, use the in-app Delete Account flow (Profile → Settings → Delete Account) or email support.

Will ShortMax keep charging me after I cancel?

No, but the cancellation must be confirmed on the platform (Apple / Google / Stripe) that's actually billing you. If you see a charge after cancellation, dispute it — most likely you cancelled in the app UI, which doesn't reach the billing platform.
